Cancellation
Purchasing a cancellation insurance is a smart choice. Such insurance covers costs that arise when you have to cancel your holiday or trip. For example, if you book a trip and cannot depart at the last moment, the costs can rise significantly, such as by canceling flights or due to illness. With a cancellation insurance you are protected against these costs, so you don’t have to worry about high expenses if you suddenly cannot leave.
There can be various reasons to cancel or break a holiday, such as a family member’s illness or accident, death, pregnancy, an unexpected move, or even unemployment. In such cases the cancellation insurance reimburses the costs of canceling or breaking the trip. Even if you have to end your trip halfway, you can receive compensation for the unused travel days.
In short, purchasing a cancellation insurance is definitely recommended when you go on holiday or travel. It provides financial security and ensures that you can depart with peace of mind, knowing you are insured against unexpected costs.
Cancellation by the travel company
Cancelling your booking is possible. At Lavinia Naturist Resort the following conditions apply:
1. You cancel your booking always via email.
2. Cancellation can be free up to 7 calendar days from the booking date.
3. Up to 180 calendar days before arrival, a cancellation fee of €200 is due.
4. Cancellations made 180 calendar days or less before arrival, including the day of arrival, are subject to a deduction of 25% of the total trip cost.
5. Cancellations made 90 calendar days or less before arrival, including the day of arrival, are subject to a deduction of 50% of the total trip cost.
6. Cancellations made 45 calendar days or less before arrival, including the day of arrival, are subject to a deduction of 100% of the total trip cost.
7. There is no refund if guests depart before the departure date, after their stay has begun. In addition, all extra costs incurred during their stay must be settled immediately.
8. We confirm all cancellations. If you do not receive written confirmation of a cancellation, it means we have not received your cancellation, you still have a booking, and we will charge you.
9. Once the cancellation is confirmed by us, the accommodation is released again for rental.
10. We then do everything to re‑rent the accommodation (by highlighting the available period, offering last‑minute discounts, placing paid advertisements…) to keep the financial loss to you limited. If we can still rent out part of the cancelled period, there is a possibility that you can recover part of it via a vacation voucher. However, this is not guaranteed, nor enforceable.
Cancellation by Lavinia or due to unforeseen circumstances
11. If the guest stay is unavailable during the booked rental period due to unforeseen circumstances, we will reimburse the already paid rent within 7 days of notification, via a Lavinia vacation voucher. We will never pay you a higher compensation for the rental period.
